Sylvetta arugula is one of the quickest edible perennials that you can grow. The leaves can be harvested at the baby stage at 20 days, or full-sized at 50 days, and it keeps coming back year after year. It has a stronger flavour than regular arugula with more nuttiness and a peppery bite. Excellent in salads, pizza and wilted into pasta.
The plants are more heat resistant that regular arugula, and do fine in partial shade or full sun. The flower stalks can be cut off to encourage more leaf growth throughout summer. Keep the plants well watered and harvest to prevent bolting. If the plants do bolt, the flowers are edible, and also loved by pollinators. Just cut the stalks off when they are done and the plants will keep on producing leaves. Sylvetta will self seed liberally if seeds are allowed to mature.

Sylvetta Perennial Arugula Seeds - Diplotaxis tenuifolia - Wild Roquette, Rocket
One of my favourite perennial crops. Prolific, very tasty and tender. Flavour changes with the weather from mild to spicy wit a fun kick :)
Cicada seeds is awesome! Though we have not year reap’d the benefits of our seeds just yet - patience is a virtue - we are cooling them, wetting some, potting others and feeling generally excited by their diverse colours and shapes and energy potential! Gardening and farming is like science class, but tasty!
Great seeds
