2026 Vancouver Island Seedy Saturdays

Seedy Saturday season is approaching! We are only attending two Seedy Saturdays this year: 

Workshops 2026:

  • March 12, 2026: Perennial Vegetable Workshop with PQB Fruit Tree Project. 6:30pm @ The MAC, Parksville. Register here.
  • March 19, 2026: Perennial Vegetables Workshop with Ladysmith Garden Club. 
  • April 25, 2026: Farm Tour & Plant Sale in Errington with Denman Island Apples and Bramblewood Nursery. Details TBA.
  • May 2, 2026: We will have a booth at the QB Garden Club Plant Sale 

Workshops 2027 

  • Feb 24, 2027: Perennial Vegetable Workshop with Salt Spring Island Garden Club

Would you like to bring Michalina to speak to your garden club? Email me at grow@cicadaseeds.ca for workshop rates and availability. We have prepared presentations on perennial vegetables and seed saving 101. Other topics may be available upon request

Come visit us at a Seedy Saturday event in 2025! We will be at the events in BOLD.

  • January 25, 2025: Denman Island Seedy Saturday. 10am-2pm.  Denman Island Community Hall (we won't be at this one)
  • February 1, 2025: Qualicum Beach Seedy Saturday. 10am-3:30pm. Qualicum Beach Civic Centre (747 Jones St) We'll be doing a demo on seed saving at 1pm!
  • February 8, 2025: Port Alberni Seedy Saturday. 10am-2pm. Echo Center (4255 Wallace Street) We'll be there!
  • February 8, 2025: Saanich Seedy Saturday. 10am-2pm. Prospect Lake Community Hall ( 5358 Sparton Road) (we won't be at this one)
  • February 15, 2024: Victoria Seedy Sunday. 11am-4pm. Crystal Gardens (713 Douglas St) We'll be there!
  • February 22, 2025: Salt Spring Seedy Saturday. 10am-3pm. Salt Spring Island Farmers' Institute (351 Rainbow Rd) (we won't be at this one)
  • March 1, 2025: Squamish Seedy Saturday (we won’t be there, but our seeds will!)
  • March 1, 2025: Mayne Island Seedy Saturday. 10am-2pm. Mayne Island Agricultural Hall (430 Fernhill Rd)  (we won’t be at this one)
  • March 2, 2025: Nanaimo Seedy Sunday. 10am-3pm. NDSS (355 Wakesiah Ave) We'll be there!
  • March 8, 2025: Comox Valley Seedy Saturday  We'll be there!
  • March 8, 2025: Saltair Seedy Saturday. 10am-2pm. 3850 South Oyster School Road. (we won’t be at this one)
  • March 8, 2025: Powell River Seedy Saturday (we won’t be at this one)
  • March 15, 2025: Cobble Hill Seedy Saturday. 10am-2pm.  4550 Watson Avenue (we won’t be at this one)
  • March 22, 2025: Campbell River Seedy Saturday 9am-1pm. 401 11 Ave (we won’t be at this one)
  • March 23, 2025: Duncan Seedy Sunday. 10am-2pm. Si’em' Lelum Gymnasium (5574 River Road) We'll be there!
  • March 29, 2024: Sooke Seedy Saturday. 10am-3pm. Sooke Community Hall.  (we won’t be at this one)
  • March 30, 2025: Coombs Seedy Sunday. 11am-3pm. Coombs Fairgrounds. We'll be there!
